Madame X was created when a Jackson Hole based theatre-goer viewed the Robert Dubac play “The Male Intellect: An Oxymoron,” and desperately wanted it brought to Jackson Hole. With nine of her friends, she formed Madame X and began to raise the funds to make it so. Now with forty more members, and almost $500,000 of fundraising under their belt, Madame X has formed the Madame X Fund, which provides performance tickets to the Community Resource Center participants.
The women who originally began the group chose to remain anonymous as patrons, but have given Madame X a very unique personality.
According to one member who preferred to remain anonymous, “She loves the finer things in life. She loves champagne, excellent theater, good times and men.”
